BreamTeam become Charlton Athletic’s Official Digital Partner

Aug15th

Charlton have announced a three-year deal with BreamTeam that will see the IT solutions and interactive media firm become the club’s official digital partner.

BreamTeam has provided technical support for The Valley’s big screen for several years.

Their iconic fish logo, which represents the firm’s Goldfish software, is even chanted by supporters when it appears during games, in homage to former Charlton central defender Mark Fish.

And now the two parties have formalised their relationship by signing a three-year contract.

BreamTeam Ltd managing director Dan Bream said: “BreamTeam has been associated with the big screen operation at The Valley for several seasons, and we are therefore delighted and very proud to have been appointed as the club’s official digital partner for the next three years.

“The new screen provides a fantastic opportunity to develop exciting new imagery to enhance fans’ matchday experience.

“The overall design has been kept very similar during the past few years, so we spent time over the summer producing a brand new look and feel for the 2011/12 season.

“We are very much looking forward to working closely with the club to deliver state-of-the-art graphics that, we believe, will provide the best matchday screen service in The Football League.”

Charlton installed a new, bigger, big screen – which measures 40 square metres – in the south-east corner of the stadium over the summer.

In addition to listing the two teams, score details and a match timer, the screen also shows adverts, matches from the Addicks archives and the popular This is The Valley video before kick-off.

Addicks chief executive Stephen Kavanagh said: “We’ve worked with Dan and BreamTeam for a number of years and we’re delighted to have him back on board.

“The big screen is an important part of matchdays for the club, and supporters hopefully saw against AFC Bournemouth the work that’s gone into the system over the summer.

“I thought it looked fantastic against Bournemouth, showing the screen at its very best, and we will also now work together to explore various other enterprises.”

BreamTeam is also the digital partner of the Charlton Community Trust and sponsors the website of the Charlton women’s and girls’ set-up.

Seconds out, round one!

BreamTeam have been working closely with boxing promoter Frank Maloney over the past few months and in that time have produced a selection of creative projects.

Frank Maloney is one of the most recognised boxing promoters in the World. Famed for leading Lennox Lewis to the top, he has also guided four other fighters to World Titles and has a string of British, European and Commonwealth Champions to his name.  All of Frank Maloney Promotions’ shows are screened live on Sky Sports in the prime time Saturday evening slot.

With BreamTeam’s proud involvement in the boxing world , especially with our work and partnership with the British Amateur Boxing Association (BABA), we were brought on board by Frank Maloney Promotions in order to produce an event programme that could be rolled out for all upcoming shows.

Since then, we have designed and created a selection of official fight night event posters, as well as the latest project being a promotional DVD for one of the hottest prospects in British heavyweight boxing, David Price.

Regarded as one of the most devastating power punchers in the sport, the film features a high octane introduction for the Liverpool fighter, with an orchestral score throughout.

The film provides key moments from Price’s career so far and has been produced to showcase his ability to the boxing world, with the film already being aired in America.

BreamTeam go back to school!

Jun23rd

St Patricks’ Catholic Primary School in Plumstead, London and BreamTeam have worked together to give the school a brand new web presence.

With BreamTeam already having experience in the Education sector – after creating a web presence for the Malek Academy in South Sudan – BreamTeam’s ultimate goal for this project was to move away from the usual generic and static school websites and produce a design and funtionality that not only fits in with the school’s ethos, but is also engaging for the children and their parents.

BreamTeam Managing Director, Dan Bream said: “We were really excited to be asked by St Patrick’s to produce their new school website and prospectus document.

“From the outset, it was clear that there seems to be a lot of ‘dull and boring’ school websites all using standard templates, which in the main are uninspiring and extremely difficult to use.  We worked closely with St Patrick’s in order to produce results that not only broke the usual ‘school website boundaries’, but also provides the school with a functional website that they can be proud of.”

Featuring a whole host of sections; including information about the school, curriculum, parent resources, as well as a “Days Gone By” section, St Patrick’s now have one of the most intuitive school websites that we have seen to date.

St Patrick’s Headteacher, Ossie Folkes said: “St Patrick’s have had a very positive experience with BreamTeam. The finished job reflects very well on the work of the school and raises our profile.”

Whilst being built solely on BreamTeam’s Goldfish Enterprise platform, we took this opportunity to adapt the functionality solely for a school perspective.  This means that all staff can gain access, dependant on user rights, and amend their own pages, especially when it comes to teachers being able to alter their own class page.

In addition to the website, BreamTeam also provided Multimedia services, in the form of photography, which has provided a good collection of imagery of the school building, pupils and the surrounding areas.  This imagery was then included in the new School Prospectus Brochure that BreamTeam produced. This has also been converted into a “virtual document” and made available on the school website, using our Digital Publishing technology.

DVD for Trust’s Early Intervention Programme goes Well!

Apr27th

On Saturday 16th April, the Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) and Kent and Medway NHS hosted an event to celebrate the end of the second year of their Wellbeing project, with BreamTeam producing a special film for the event.

The Wellbeing project engages with service users diagnosed with psychosis and other mental health issues. The focus is on using sports and activity, as well as social and cultural based events to aid and promote engagement, recovery and development of social networks.

Using footage taken by the CACT coaches during the year, BreamTeam cut together and created an engaging film, which also included interviews from staff and service users of the project.

BreamTeam also created the branding for the scheme, which was applied to the film, as well as the DVD packaging, with a full replication service provided.

The finished film was shown at the presentation day, which took place on Saturday 16th April 2011 at The Valley, Charlton and was attended by over 100 guests.  As well as inviting strategic partners to join in with the celebrations, many of the service users and their families were also in attendance.

Along with the DVD, which documented the service users progress over the year, they were also presented with an achievement award by Trustee, Karl Howman, for successfully completing the year.

The Trust’s Disability and Mental Health Officer, Carl Krauhaus, said: “Year 2 has been a natural progression from Year 1, with some fantastic outcomes for the programme and the service users alike.”

“Our partners at the Kent and Medway NHS early intervention teams are equally as committed to us at the Trust and maximising the opportunities this project can provide for young people.”

BreamTeam join the BTCC!

Apr1st

BreamTeam have joined the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship with their continued support of local racing driver Tony Gilham, who has stepped up to the biggest motorsport championship in the UK.

Having already spent a year as Digital Partners to Tony Gilham and the team during the Porsche Carrera Cup GB 2010 season, BreamTeam were delighted to continue this partnership into the BTCC.  BreamTeam Managing Director, Dan Bream said: “We were extremely pleased with what we achieved last year with Tony and the team and helping to firmly establish them as one of the successful leading brands within the racing scene.”

The British Touring Car Championship is one of the best-loved, most illustrious and famous motor racing championships in the world. Now with unprecedented levels of national television coverage from ITV, the 2-litre formula continues to provide one of motor sport’s most addictive, action-packed atmospheres for an audience of millions as well as the perfect platform for teams, drivers and sponsors to raise their profiles and reputations.

“The BTCC is clearly a much bigger event altogether, but one we are all looking forward to getting involved in and making sure we provide the team and fans a website and additional digital media that they can be extremely proud of,” Dan Bream continued.

In addition to re-creating the official tonygilham.com website, the Digital Creative Company have also focused their efforts and applied their design services to creating the vehicle livery for the new Vauxhall Vectra race car. Continuing with the pink and green colour scheme, the design features all sponsor logos and has had rave reviews as being the brightest car in the championship!  In addition to the car, BreamTeam have also designed the race suit, pit lane garage paraphernalia, grid girl uniforms as well as posters, leaflets and other merchandise.  Tony Gilham said: “BreamTeam have been brilliant during the past few years that we have worked with them.

“They have done a fantastic job for us and really brought our brand and website to the top.”

The season opener took place at local circuit Brands Hatch on 2nd April 2011 and the bumper crowds – estimated at 40,000 spectators – were there to witness the launch of the championship.  Prior to this, the website was set live and has seen a complete rebuild from that of its Porsche Carrera Cup predecessor.  Built solely on BreamTeam’s new Goldfish Enterprise platform, it also features the integration of the open source WordPress architecture.

Social networking resources, including Twitter and Facebook are also incorporated to make full use of the vast following that the BTCC enjoys.  “In less than a month of the website going live, it has been accessed via Facebook by over 25,000 individual people,” Dan Bream commented.  “That simply reinforces how powerful a tool social networking can be.”

In addition, an exclusive membership only area of the website has been created, where fans can register to join, with the unique opportunity of winning the actual racing car at the end of the season.
