Charlton Upbeats event raises some £20,000!

Oct19th

Charlton Upbeats is a Down’s Syndrome Sports Club and as Digital Partners, BreamTeam created a website that the campaign is proud of.

The Charlton Upbeats is a bespoke programme delivered by the Charlton Athletic Community Trust for young people with Down’s Syndrome and at a recent fundraising dinner, the charity raised some £20,000, which will enable the programme to continue.

Kent based Digital Creative Company, BreamTeam, assisted with all digital aspects and branding, including the website and all video content on the night.

The new website was a must have, in order to support the programme and to provide a professional platform to attract fundraising activities through sponsorship and online donations. The website utilises a “fun” and “upbeat” style which showcases the supporting individuals and companies with external links and profiles. In addition to these, a special “Media Gallery” is featured, which displays photos and media, plus latest and archived news.

The fundraising dinner took place on October 14th 2010 at The Valley, Charlton and included a guest appearance from former Formula One World Champion Damon Hill, plus appearances from former Charlton manager Alan Curbishley, Charlton legends Keith Peacock and Steve Gritt and a handful of the Upbeats members and families also attended.

BreamTeam’s Managing Director, Dan Bream, who is also part of the Charlton Upbeats Dinner Committee said: “BreamTeam were absolutely delighted to assist with the Charlton Upbeats project; another fantastic cause provided by the Charlton Athletic Community Trust.

“This project was extremely rewarding to be part of and it enabled the team to again utilise latest technologies through our Digital Marketing Platform, including web based techniques and 3D video footage.

“The evening was a fantastic success and everyone’s hard work really paid off, in that we have now secured the immediate future of the Charlton Upbeats.”

Trust CEO Jason Morgan said: “It was a fantastic evening and I would personally like to thank everyone for their magnificent support of such a worthwhile project.”
